Eden Island Marina is a new dedicated super-yacht facility developed in conjunction with the Eden Island luxury residential project. Eden Island is located just off the east coast of the main island of Mahe and is linked to the mainland by a 300m bridge.
The marina offers facilities for super-yachts of up to 100m, cruising yachts and local leisure craft. There are 600m of piled pontoon berths with the pontoons being sourced from Walcon Ltd. There are 180m of pontoon available for super-yachts. The super-yacht pontoon is 4m wide with 500mm and 750mm of freeboard. Berthing is available astern to or alongside, depending on occupancy. With stern to berthing there are laid lines for securing bows. The depth of the water in the Marina basin is 11m but draft at the Channel to marina is restricted to 5.1m.
Comprehensive services are provided at the berth. Service bollards are sourced from Rolec Ltd. and take the form of their new spinnaker design, introduced from the Palm Island development in Dubai. Each berth has power, water, Wireless internet, two land-line telephone connections and a cable TV connection. Power is available both as single-phase and three-phase (up to 250 amps). Rolec has also provided their S300 pump-out system and there are three pump-out locations on the berth. All services are computer controlled with fully itemised billing available. A service berth with fueling facilities is located near the marina. The location of the marina on the inland side of Eden Island provides ideal sheltered conditions. With stern to berthing, boats lie in line with both prevailing winds (SE & NW). To ensure that your stay at Eden Island is a pleasant and trouble free one, Golf carts are made available for delivering your stores and transporting your guests to their waiting yachts.
After a hard day’s work, why not join the rest of the islanders at “The Boardwalk” Bar and lounge, Eden Island marina’s very own watering hole. Located on the boardwalk, a mere 100m from the super-yacht pontoon, the Bar and lounge plays host to live bands and DJs. You can watch international sports on one of the 2 “Big Screens” or taste some of the local cocktails poured by the experts. |
» All pontoons are illuminated with solar deck marker lights spaced at every 5m. |
